This is a wonderful and fresh summertime alternative to a dinner salad.

Tomato Mozzarella Salad

Ingredients:
Ingredients3 large tomatoes, sliced
8 oz. mozzarella cheese, sliced
¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
Salt and Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Gather ingredients. Arrange tomato and cheese slices on a serving platter, overlapping slices.

  1. Combine olive oil and balsamic vinegar in small bowl. Stir to combine. Salt and pepper to taste.

  1. Drizzle over tomatoes and cheese slices. Sprinkle with fresh basil and serve.

  • Perfect recipe for my needs. Thursday night we’re attending a members-only picnic opportunity at the Tucson Botanical Gardens which coincides with my birthday. As we bring our own food, I was considering what I wanted to take. Your recipe fits the bill perfectly for our 100 degree weather and picnic fare.
