Hidden Surprise Valentine

Make your someone special smile with this Hidden Surprise Valentine. There are plenty of little tuck-ins on which to write messages of love and appreciation, or you can include coupons redeemable for breakfast in bed, a special night out, or homemade cookies!
Hidden Surprise Valentine
Materials:
Blank notecard (6½″× 5″)
Solid cardstock
Patterned scrapbook paper
Templates (72k .PDF file)
Paper heart doilies
Valentine stickers
Ribbon
Tools:
Scissors or paper cutter
Glue
Ruler
Pens/Pencils
Hot Glue Gun (optional)
Instructions:
- Gather materials and tools. Trace “Cover” template onto patterned scrapbook paper and cut out. Glue onto front of notecard. Trace “Cover square” template onto cardstock and cut out. Glue onto front of notecard. Add decorative stickers.
- Open notecard and glue one paper heart doily on each side. Trace two “Mini envelopes” from template onto patterned scrapbook paper and cut out. Using a ruler as a guide, fold envelope flaps inward. For each envelope, glue bottom edges of side flaps, then fold bottom flap up.
- Glue the front of each envelope onto a paper heart doily. Trace two “Card for mini envelope” shapes onto cardstock and cut out. Add your desired message before slipping cards into envelopes and sealing with stickers.
- Trace “Pocket” from cardstock and cut out. Trace “Pocket front” from patterned scrapbook paper and cut out. Glue “Pocket front” onto center of “Pocket.” Apply glue to bottom and sides of pocket and attach to inside of notecard. Trace two “Pocket tuckins” from cardstock and cut out. Add your message and slip tuckins into pocket.
- Trace “Mini card” from patterned scrapbook paper. Cut out and fold in half. Glue to inside of notecard.
- Decorate inside of notecard with stickers and words of love. Make a small bow from ribbon and attach it to front of card with glue.

These are adorable! My daughter would love receiving one of these. Hmm… I guess I have some work to do before Valentine’s Day.
