  • Wow! That is beautiful. I’m with you, Phillip, I could make a meal out of it. Smokey Bones has a grilled pear salad that is very similar. The pears are grilled, the nuts are kind of honey-roasted, I think, and they use bleu cheese. I’ve only been there two times, but I always order it as my meal.

  • Oh, what a lovely salad. Another great recipe to add to my little collection. Every recipe you’ve shared has been perfect and keeping me busy.

I must say that y’all are great and generous with your delectable ideas–but you’re going to force me to go up a size in my wardrobe at this rate. Ah well, it’s yummy in the meantime.

  • The sad part about all of this is that I’ve actually been on a low-carb diet this entire time, since June. So nearly every recipe that you see one the site, I can’t eat. Not one bite. Fortunately, I’ve had most of them before, and everybody else who tries them loves them, but I’m looking forward to next month, when I’ll be done with the diet and able to eat anything again — in small portions.

I have had this salad while on the diet, though I eat only one bite of pear. :-(

I just remembered — I ate some of the Baked Ziti, too, off my brother’s plate. I ate around the pasta. Annoyed him greatly!

Hey, this could be a great commercial: Phillip lost 65 pounds while these recipes were prepared! (We probably shouldn’t mention that he couldn’t eat any of them…) :-)

  • I made your recipe for dinner last night. We opted for a light meal and your salad was perfect with roasted chicken strips. And I don’t think last night’s dinner caused any alarm bells to ring for my waistline.
