Upcoming Bonus: Gourmet Caramel Apples
We spent quite a bit of time this weekend working on a bonus project for subscribers, and I think — I hope — you will love it. Certainly everybody who sampled the result on Saturday and Sunday raved about it!
When we said we would supply caramel apples for a gathering, not too many people got excited. Visions of messiness and dental problems seemed to be a common response. But when we revealed the secret to turning an awkward “treat” into a gourmet delight, well, we had people begging us to sell them some apples! We gave away all that we had made, and soon you’ll see how to win new fans for one of the most decadent Autumn delights.
I’m working on the layout this week. This will not be part of the normal Tuesday Recipe of the Week cycle.

This sounds wonderful! I love caramel as well as candy apples but avoid them for the same reasons you mentioned. So, your new recipe project sounds very promising and I look forward to it.

Just finished it! I have to make sure Kelli gives it a final review from the northeastern U.S., and then it’ll be good to go. Hopefully this weekend.

After a few last-minute tweaks and *hopefully* catching the last typo, it looks like it’s ready to go. I’ll get it posted tonight, and then I’m going to send out an email this weekend, letting everybody know what’s been happening since the last email.
