Looks great! And right now it is apple season where I live so I can get freshly pressed organic apple cider at the farmer’s market. I may have to pick some up for this recipe! The cider is so sweet though, I’ll probably leave out the sugar.
Thanks for the recipe!

My father in law has a cider press and we are due to make some cider here pretty soon. This sound really good! I love hot apple cider.
If any of you are able to get fresh cider (ie not store bought and is best to use non-pasturized), you can make some wonderful apple syrup by boiling down the cider until it is a syrup consistency. It is a bit strong, so use sparingly. But it has a wonderful flavor!

I’m definitely serving this at the teacher’s meeting coming up on Monday. You are inspiring me so much. I was looking for Autumn goodies to serve and this is the answer for the drink.
In Ohio we grow lots and lots of apples and I can get it pretty fresh. I would love to try it just off the press. (You are so blessed, Jennifer.) How long does it take to make cider into syrup? I’m interested in trying that. In Alaska, we had so many raspberries. I got into the habit of putting up raspberry syrup, by the quart. In the middle of February, it sure tasted good splashed into some Sparkling water. I’ll bet the apple would do the same.

As an English gal, cider to me is an alcoholic drink. This looks more like pressed apple juice and looks quite cloudy. I can make my own fresh apple juice as we have about 8 apple trees and quite a few are absolutely LADEN with fruit this year. This sounds like a lovely fragrant drink.

Aberlemno, over here we call that “hard cider,” and yes, cider is pressed apple juice, usually unprocessed.

You read my mind. I was needing a warm cider, and here one is. I’ll post about it latter. Thank you Kelli.

Mmmm. Hot apple cider is definitely a favorite in our home. Now and throughout the winter season. We keep a crockpot of it going quite often. Your recipe sounds delicious!
