Victims of Success
If we must endure technical problems, I suppose that we’ve encountered one of the best: so many people have subscribed to Seasonal Delights that we’ve had to move to a new web server to handle everybody!
We’re more than a little nervous about this, but we had always intended to do our best for the 50 to 100 subscribers we expected, and now we’ll do our best for the 700 and counting subscribers we have!
As I write this, some people, mostly people who had signed up previously and are coming back to the site, are still getting to the old web server. I’ve stuck a big message on every page there, and I’m hoping that within another hour or two everybody “resolves” to the new web server, this one. If you can read this, this page should have loaded pretty quickly. Otherwise, you would have waited a very long time to load a page telling you to try again. :(
We’ve already posted the first bit of bonus material for subscribers — the Old-Fashioned Popcorn recipe we couldn’t fit into the Autumn 2007 issue, perfect for the Autumn Popcorn Mix recipe on page 8. More will follow throughout the quarter!

I discovered your fabulous magazine from Calamity Kim and am already madly in love with it. I’m going to add it to my blog tomorrow when I write my “Friday Blessings” posting. May I add a link to your subscription page and picture to my blessings list?
Just a little helpful note about printing the magazine. I don’t have paper the size indicated so I set my printer to “reduce to printer margins” and everything printed out just fine to 8 1/2″x11″ paper.
I used glossy presentation paper and printed in color (I thought your pretty photos and graphics are worth the color print cartridge), then bound it using my spiral binding machine. A tad overachieving, I guess, but I’m a very happy girl reading this wonderful creation of yours.

Yes, of course you can link to us! I’m glad you like it.
The pages are actually designed for 8.5 x 11″ paper (with apologies to European A4 users); the 11 x 17″ discussion is just for folks who want a saddle-stapled version. I’m impressed by the spiral binder. That’s a nice touch!
We still don’t actually have a printed version other than the black-and-white proofs, and we’ve got so many of those around that I’m not sure which ones are the “final” copies!
Thanks for your very kind words.
